It was selected for the Programming Category in Kids demographic &ldquo;Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie.&rdquo; There were 3 titles that earned the highest total scores in the judging criteria and&nbsp;Heart Catch Pretty Cure The Movie&nbsp;was one of them.

This short movie is produced as part of the &ldquo;Jidaigeki (Samurai dramas) Renaissance Project&rdquo; that is to encourage more people from abroad to visit Kyoto, so that they can find and experience Kyoto&rsquo;s beauty, entertainment and comfort. This project is supported by many organizations and individuals including Kyoto Tourism Association. Toei Studios Kyoto, INTAGE Inc. and Beans Co.,Ltd. are in charge of operation of this project.
</p>
<p>
The TV series Ikkyu-san was one of Toei Animation&rsquo;s popular title broadcast from 1975 through 1982 on the TV Asahi network.. Ikkyu-san is a Buddhist monk who lived in 15th century in Japan. However, the series was so popular that most people associate the name with our animated character.
</p>
<p>
The Ikkyu-san series has also been very popular in China, and has been shown repeatedly since it was first broadcast in 1983. Accordingly, the project are using Ikkyu-san&rsquo;s characters especially promoting tourism for China.
</p>
<p>
As previously announced, we are currently producing a new theatrical movie of Ikkyu-San for China jointly with the Chinese media company - Shanghai Media Group (SMG) and the Chinese kids channel &ndash; Toonmax. The movie will be released across China in 2012.

Toei Animation Co., Ltd. is proud to annouce that the production of a new CG movie of the blockbuster animation - Saint Seiy in commemoration of the 25th anniversary.

Saint Seiya is the popular Manga created by Masami Kurumada, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1985 and has been the timeless masterpiece which depicts the story about the youths clad in mystical armor named &ldquo;Cloth&rdquo;.<br />
TV animation series debuted in 1986 caused social-phenomenon among young kids. It has been aired all around the world and been massively popular all the time since the debut.

Coming to a turning point of its 25th anniversary of the first publication, Toei Animation has decided to produce new CG animation movie as &ldquo;Masami Kurumada Project.&rdquo; Using the advanced CG technology, this new movie will present the entertainment being true to its origin toward the fans and kids.&nbsp;

　Toei Animation has acquired the license in Japan of global-popular animation series &ndash; Iron Kid that was produced in South Korea, which will start showing on ANIMAX channel operated by Animax Broadcast Japan Inc. from December 10, 2010.

&nbsp;Iron Kid (a.k.a. Eon Kid) is a CG animation series produced by Daewon Media, who is one of major animation studios in South Korea. It has been broadcast in over 20 countries around the world such as United States, Spain, France, Italy and Australia, and has been watched by more than 100 million kids all over the world.

　Iron Kid was chosen for &ldquo;Star Product&rdquo; by South Korea&rsquo;s Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2003, won &ldquo;the Cultural Import Award -Animation Section-&ldquo; in 2005. &nbsp;Toei Animation Co., Ltd. announces that it will be producing Ikkyu-san, a theatrical feature film for China, jointly with the Chinese media company Shanghai Media Group (SMG) and the Chinese kids channel Toonmax. The film will begin showing from February 2012 (the lunar New Year holidays) nationwide in China.

&nbsp;The TV series Ikkyu-san was a popular Toei Animation title broadcast from 1975 through 1982 on the TV Asahi network.
</p>

&nbsp;Ikkyu-san is a Buddhist monk who lived in 15th century in Japan. However, the series was so popular that most people associate the name with our animated character.
</p>
<p>
&nbsp;The Ikkyu-san series has also been very popular in China, and has been shown repeatedly since it was first broadcast in 1983.

&nbsp;&nbsp;A press conference was held in Shanghai on June 16 to announce the joint production with SMG and Toonmax of the new theatrical animation Ikkyu-san for release in China.
</p>
<p>
&nbsp;The Chinese market has tremendous potential for animation. SMG has produced many box-office hits in China and Toonmax has been a highly popular kids channel in Shanghai.
</p>
<p>
&nbsp;This joint production will give Toei Animation a toehold in the Chinese market with the beloved Ikkyu-san, and will allow SMG and Toonmax to produce a blockbuster movie that appeals to both kids and their parents, even from an educational standpoint.
</p>
<p>
&nbsp;In this joint production, Toei Animation will be responsible for pre-production work, providing a script, character design, background art, color design and storyboards. SMG/Toonmax will be in charge of the main production of the film, excepting the pre-production component.
