An original large-screen episode of Galaxy Express 999 is planed and produced.
| Toei Animation Co., Ltd. plans and produces an original large-screen episode of the popular animationGalaxy Express 999originally made by Reiji Matsumoto. This will be released this summer on large screens at museums, aquariums, planetariums and other facilities around the country. In a survey conducted by Large Screen Movie Theater Network Japan,Galaxy Express 999topped the list of comic masterpieces audiences want to see on a large screen. With a new episode written for this project, 999 is made into a high-definition 3D animation to be shown either on a gigantic flat screen measuring 20 × 28 meters or in a dome 28 meters in diameter. The new episode also lives up to high expectations for a quality entertainment acceptable to a wide variety of audience. |
