Toei Animation Co., Ltd. is producing Love★Com, a popular comic originally written by Aya Nakahara, and will begin broadcasting it on April 7, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. on TBS. Cumulatively, more than 10 million copies of the original comic of Love★Com have been published. The masterpiece of the “love comedy” genre, characterized by the mix of funny and touching elements, is hugely popular among young girls of junior high and high school age. Now Love★Com also appears as a serial in Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret. The story revolves around a high school girl who is not comfortable with her height. The comic vividly depicts her love for boys shorter than her, along with her emotional ups and downs.
