Toei Animation and WDTI-J have agreed to collaborate in the production of an animation series.
Toei Animation Co., Ltd. and Walt Disney Television International Japan (hereinafter “WDTI-J”) have agreed to collaborate in the production of an animation series to be shown during JETIX, the TOON DISNEY timeslot run by WDTI-J. JETIX shows action & adventure programs and is viewed by more than 279 million households in 80 countries around the world. A contract for the production of the series was signed in Jul. 2006. Tentatively titled RoboD’z, the short animation film is a mix of computer graphics and acting. This is also the Company’s first TV animation series featuring computer graphics. The year 2006 marked the Company’s 50th anniversary. We have initiated a number of new challenges in addition to computer graphics.
