Toei Animation Co., Ltd. has launched a new medium of visual expression. Ganime label is for the new style of artistic visual content characterized by pictures, words and music to express the artists’ unique perspectives. Gentosha Inc. will cooperate with the new label in sales promotion and dissemination. Traditionally, it has been too difficult for individuals to complete visual content independently. Many artists have encountered difficulty in freely expressing the world of their own artistic creation. The launch of a new media will deepen and refresh viewers’ appreciation of artists’ tastes and work. The Ganime DVD consists of paintings, illustrations, photographs, woodcuts, computer graphics and other works created by artists from a variety of genres. Eight titles will be released on Aug. 1st, 2006, followed by another two titles scheduled in the late Sep. 2006.
