MIPTV-The world’s audiovisual and digital content market was held in Cannes, France from April 3 to 7. Toei Co., Ltd. and Toei Animation Co., Ltd. received the LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD from REED MIDEM, organizer of MIPTV. The award was intended to commemorate the 55th anniversary of Toei and the 50th anniversary of Toei Animation. Usually the award is given to individuals. The decision to award the two companies reflects the great admiration for their years of achievements in the categories of filmed and animation works. More than 200 guests, including key filmmakers and representatives from TV stations and distributing agencies in Europe, United States and Asia, were at the award ceremony held on Apr. 4th and at the reception that followed.
