Hajime Kindaichi is a high school boy who is usually funny and a little lazy. But once the trouble happen, he shows his talent of IQ 180 as the grandson of Detective Kindaichi who was famous as Japanese Sharlock Holmes.

He clears up difficult mystery with his partner Miyuki, a playfellow of his childhood. The activity of these two youngsters always refreshing to the people around them.
