STORY

Hiroshi Shima, the eldest son of Dr. Henjiro Shima, a top-ranking physiologist, was fatally wounded while trying to help his father when the latter was in danger as the Jama Empire’s invading forces attacked Japan. Afterwards Hiroshi was brought back to life as a Cyborg by his father.

Now he is capable of jumping way up into the sky, and metamorphosing into the head of JEEG THE STEEL ROBOT, a super magnetic robot of Dr. Shima’s invention. Jeeg is ready to go once his body has been built up and assembled with parts released from “Big Shooter”, the parts carrier piloted in the air by Miwa Satsuki, a charming girl who assists Dr. Shima. Hiroshi can not help feeling some love for Miwa even though he is a Cyborg and not an ordinary man. The Jama Empire is ready to attack Japan again with giant robots called “clay phantoms”, which are secretly buried deep under the ground throughout Japan. A touch-and-go situation! But Jeeg the Steel Robot is ready for combat!
